Kap G “Motion” produced by Chedder is the Dallas record you need to hear this week. Dallas just put a heavyweight on the board. Producer Chedder has teamed up with Atlanta legend Kap G for “Motion,” out now on all platforms just in time for Hispanic Heritage Month, with an official music video to match. This is not a beat sold over email. This is a Dallas producer running the whole play from start to finish.

How Chedder Built Kap G “Motion” From The Ground Up

What makes “Motion” different from the average producer placement is how much of it Chedder owned. His Instagram bio says “Not Ya Average Producer” and this release backs it up. Instead of handing off a beat and waiting on the artist’s team, Chedder acted as executive producer and creative director on the entire project. He produced the record, then handpicked every person who touched it after that.

  • The engineer: Chedder took the record to Tru Da Produk at MJM Recording Studios for mixing and mastering.
  • The videographer: He tapped Films by Prophecy, one of the biggest music video directors in Texas, to shoot the official visual.
  • The graphic designer: He called on Dallas creative director Danielgotskillz to design the cover art.

The record is presented by Mic City Records. Rather than chasing a feature and calling it a day, Chedder built the entire project around Kap G, then surrounded it with Dallas talent so the finished product could stand next to anything coming out of a major label. Atlanta star power, Dallas execution.

The Video: Shot by Films by Prophecy

The official “Motion” visual was shot by Films by Prophecy, CEO of Prophecy Film Studio in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex and the man behind more than 900 music videos. Prophecy is the lens the late Dallas legend Mo3 trusted for some of his biggest visuals, including records with Kevin Gates, Tory Lanez and Morray. His credits also run through Dorrough, Twisted Black, Lil Ronny MothaF, Montana 700, Lil 2z, Rod Slime and a long list of Texas heavyweights. When Chedder needed a director who could put a Kap G record on the level of a major label rollout, this was the call.

The Artwork: Designed by Danielgotskillz

The “Motion” cover was designed by Danielgotskillz, a Dallas based creative director and graphic designer with more than a decade in the game. His artwork has backed releases from Snow Tha Product, Jacquees, August Alsina, Z Ro, Shawty Lo, Jody Breeze and Tum Tum, with visuals behind music that has reached millions of streams worldwide.
