We cover the stories that move the culture: new releases, the rising artists who deserve a spotlight before the majors find them, the producers and engineers who build the sound, and the legends who deserve their flowers while they can still smell them.
What we cover
New music from established and independent artists, interviews, artist spotlights, producer and engineer features, and the moments that push the genre forward. We put new names in front of people before everybody else catches on, and we make room for the veterans who never got their due. What we do not do is beef coverage, reconciliation drama, label politics, or tour logistics. There is enough of that everywhere else.
How we work
Every story on XMG Hip Hop is written by a real person on our editorial team. We verify claims against primary sources such as official releases, artist statements, court records, and reputable outlets before we publish. When we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and say so. You can read our full Editorial Policy.
How we find artists
We are not owned by a label, a distributor, or a media conglomerate, and we do not accept unsolicited music or press materials. We find the artists we cover ourselves. The best way to get on our radar is to keep making noise and to follow and tag us on social. We are watching. Sponsored content is always clearly labeled.
